Our mission is to provide undergraduate students a real on-ramp to the career they want. Or the career they're curious about but want to explore a bit first.
We specifically designed Alpha Fellowship for our core customers: college students who aspire to high-potential careers and who demand tangible skills and experience that will help them stand out and land first internships or jobs.
Instead of teaching, think training. Instead of studying, think applied learning. We train our students the way we would train our new hires.
Our goal is to quickly equip students with broad industry knowledge, comfort with common concepts and jargon, and proficiency in the core skills and tools required across most entry level positions.
Courses start with a 2-week live course phase. Students should expect to spend 1-2 hours on prep work and 3-4 hours on live class time. So, about 4-6 hours per day, in total.
Following the live course, the 4-week company-sponsored group project requires a comparable amount of daily and weekly time, i.e about 6 hours per day or 30 hours per week. However, students may find that additional time improves their work product and learning opportunity during this phase.
Your home, co-working space, backyard, or wherever you like! Alpha Fellowship is entirely remote and online. The only requirement is that students have a reliable internet connection for video meetings, both during the 2-week course phase, and the 4-week group project phase.
Tuition for Alpha Fellowship is $2,950.
Tuition covers a 2-week online, live course taught by a team of industry professionals, followed by a 4-week company-sponsored group project that is supervised by the lead course instructor. A deposit of $295 is due once you are accepted into the Alpha Fellowship program. The balance of tuition is due a week before the start date.
Our mission at Alpha Fellowship is to increase access to high-potential careers for talented and highly motivated individuals. We believe many of the most promising Alpha Fellowship candidates would require — and deserve — financial assistance to join our program.
While Alpha Fellowship currently does not offer scholarships, financial aid, or payment plans, we are working hard with multiple corporate sponsors and partners to make these opportunities available.
Alpha Fellowship receives and reviews applications that are submitted through our website. We contact students who have completed the application, requesting a brief zoom interview. The interview helps us learn about each candidate and create cohorts that optimize the learning experience.
Once Alpha Fellowship accepts an applicant, we contact them to confirm their acceptance and to provide next steps ahead of the course start date.
Class sizes vary somewhat by course. All classes have a minimum of 8 students, and most classes are capped at 15 students.
For all courses, we emphasize instructor access for all students. We ensure a feeling of mentorship and interactive, applied learning.
All students are matched with a Practicum project, sponsored by a real company. The Practicum is designed to allow students to apply the concepts they have learned during the two week instruction period to a real-world problem or need and to receive feedback and advice from a real business stakeholder. Some projects even result in tangible outcomes, such as a new marketing campaign going live in the world or a new product idea coming to fruition.
A Practicum is a guaranteed part of any Alpha Fellowship. The only scenarios in which you may not be matched with a Practicum would be if you fail to complete the entirety of the two-week coursework, miss more than a reasonable amount of class time, or engage in unethical or disruptive behavior during your application process or Fellowship program.
Alpha Fellowship instructors work with students to confirm their preference for project type and industry. Based on student responses, instructors assemble teams of 3 - 5 students and match them with the best projects available from partner companies at that time.
